A Second Look: From the Visible to the Unseen
A Second Look: From the Visible to the Unseen educational program is based on the exhibition, Vagharshak Aramyan … and Metaphysics.
A Second Look is not merely a method of observation, but an experience that explores human perception. The program is based on the idea that art allows us to see not only outward appearance, but also what lies beyond the boundaries of the visible.
The program aims to introduce participants to the art of Vagharshak Aramyan and encourage a deeper understanding of his works by exploring how visual language becomes a means of expressing the human inner world.
During the guided tour participants will explore the connections between Aramyan’s works and major 20th-century artistic movements, including Expressionism, Cubism, Surrealism, and Metaphysical painting. In the creative part of the program, each participant will be invited to choose an inner or psychological state, and create a portrait. The aim is not to achieve a physical likeness, but to express a chosen state through visual means.
