Series of Encounters with the Artists of the Criterion Exhibition
As part of the Criterion exhibition, the Cafesjian Center for the Arts organized a series of encounters featuring exhibiting artists Achot Achot, M.Karo and Narek Avetisyan. During the meetings, the artists introduced their creative approaches, discussed the concept behind the exhibition and answered participants’ questions. Two of the events also included workshops, offering participants an opportunity to engage directly with the artists and create artworks inspired by them.
On April 4, a meeting with Paris-based Armenian artist Achot Achot took place at the Special Events Auditorium.
The theme of the meeting was The Psychology of Creation. The artist presented his own perception of spiritual and psychological aspects of art.
The event concluded with a workshop, during which participants had the opportunity to interact with the artist and, inspired by the ideas he shared, express their thoughts and inner feelings through art.
On April 18, another meeting with one of the exhibiting artists, Stockholm-based Armenian artist M.Karo, took place in Eagle Gallery. During the meeting, the artist spoke about his conceptual approach to art and shared the ideas and techniques behind his works.
On May 16, the final meeting and workshop with artist Narek Avetisyan concluded the series of encounters. During the event, the artist introduced his artistic manifesto, which was read aloud by the participants.
All the meetings and workshops were conducted in a warm and welcoming environment, fostering a meaningful dialogue between the artists and participants.
