On October 10, 2014, Mrs. Cafesjian Baradaran visited the Cafesjian Center for the Arts. Following an extensive tour of the exhibition spaces with the Acting Executive Director of the Center, Mr. Vahagn Marabyan, Mrs. Cafesjian Baradaran also visited the construction site at the top of the Cascade and the off-site art storage facility.

Accompanied by CCA’s Acting Executive Director Mr. Vahagn Marabyan, Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi and his delegation visited the exhibitions Kochar: Challenging the Time, Libenský Brychtová: Light through Space as well as the famous mural by Grigor Khanjyan.

On February 19, a delegation of the British Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union led by John Whittingdale, Head of the British Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (UK House of Commons), visited the Cafesjian Center for the Arts. The Delegation comprised of the Deputy Speakers of the House of Lords of the United Kingdom Baroness Gloria Hooper, the MP Lord Richard Faulkner, and members of the House of Commons Stephen Pound and Mike Gapes.

On December 6, the head of the France-Armenia parliamentary friendship group, Rene Rouquin, and the deputy heads of the friendship group, Valerie Boyer and Guy Tessier, visited the Cafesjian Center for the Arts.

Rock legend, Deep Purple frontman Ian Gillan was in Armenia on September 18-21 to attend the opening ceremony of N6 Gyumri music school.

Gerard Leon Cafesjian was a remarkable man. Born in Brooklyn, New York on April 26, 1925 to Armenian immigrant parents, Gerard fought in a war, made a fortune, saved a carousel and founded a magnificent Center for the Arts in his ancestral home, Armenia.

On November 1, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in its Special Events Auditorium, the Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) will feature renowned Dutch artist Fleur Klinkers, whose original pearl jewelry is popular all over the world. During the evening the artist will present her works, activities and the history of the creation of pearl jewelry. The presentation will be followed by a reception at the CCA’s Star Landing, in honor of the artist.

Throughout the summer, tourists and residents of Yerevan will enjoy the installation of a remarkable group of new sculptures at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, including the Cafesjian Sculpture Garden, Cascade Complex and the green above Monument Terrace. These sensational sculptures are additions to the Gerard L. Cafesjian Collection and are arriving by sea, land and air from London, Paris, Amsterdam, New York, Miami and Hong Kong

On June 26, 2012 the President of Austria Heinz Fischer, accompanied by his wife Marget Fischer, visited the Cafesjian Sculpture Garden.
