On March 24, 2011, Mr. Gerard L. Cafesjian was recognized as the 2010 Maecenas of the Year, according to the survey conducted by the Luxury Magazine.

“ArmenTel” Company and Cafesjian Center for the Arts to Implement Children’s Programs in Partnership. February 22, 2011, Yerevan. “ArmenTel” CJSC (Beeline brand) and Cafesjian Center for the Arts announce the launch of a partnership in education and creative programs for children and adolescents. Within this partnership, programs for children and adolescents will be regularly presented, including creative workshops, concerts of classical music and other education initiatives focused on arts education for children.

Children of Armenia Fund extended its 2010 Save a Generation award to entrepreneur and philanthropist Gerard L. Cafesjian, the founder and principal benefactor of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, who was recognized for his record of support for Armenian causes.

On November 3, a UAE delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Trade, Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, and accompanied by the Ambassador to the UAE, Vahagn Meliqyan, visited the Cafesjian Center for the Arts.

On August 20 the Cafesjian Center for the Arts hosted the informal meeting of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member-countries.

The US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton in a letter to the Director of Administration and the Acting Executive Director of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts Vahagn Marabyan thanked the Center for hosting her meeting with Armenian civil society leaders.

In the Escalator Gallery the futuristic “Cafesjian Transporter” inspired by an idea suggested by Mr. Cafesjian and created by the CCA exhibition staff, an artwork that incorporates Mr. Cafesjian’s own 1992 Subaru SVX sports car.

On December 9 2009 the First Lady of Latvia, Lilita Zatlere, and the First Lady of Armenia, Rita Sargsyan, toured the Cafesjian Center for the Arts exhibition galleries.
