French pianist Thibaud Mennillo will be back in concert at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts on April 18, 2025 at 8pm for an exceptional improvisational performance.
Thibaud Mennillo, a rising figure on the international piano scene, has distinguished himself by his improvisational talent and innovative approach to the piano.
His improvisations are inspired in part by the works of Bach, Ravel, Debussy, Komitas, Gurdjieff, Babajanian, Messiaen, Reich, Keith Jarrett and Armenian folk music.
As an improviser and contemporary pianist, Thibaud Mennillo also draws inspiration from the motifs of the great jazz figures. His improvisational piano playing allows him to explore and express these diverse melodic, polyphonic and polyrhythmic sources, often in profound harmony. Through his improvisations, Thibaud Mennillo invites us on a sensory voyage into his inner world.
His ability to fuse elements of classical music with contemporary touches makes his performances unique and deeply captivating.
