The 2019 Cafesjian Center for the Arts “Spring Lectures” series was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Komitas.
In 2019, the great Komitas’ 150th anniversary was included by UNESCO in its 2018–2019 Calendar of Anniversaries of Eminent Personalities and Historic Events.
On this occasion, the Cafesjian Center for the Arts organized the following lectures:
April 18 – Komitas

April 25 – The Aspects of Komitas: Letters
Lecturer: composer, musicologist, pianist Artur Avanesov
