International Museums Day and Museum Night 2010

On May 18, 2010, the Cafesjian Center for the Arts celebrated the International Museum Day - for the first time since its opening on November 2009. Following the year's theme, "Museums for Social Harmony", the featured programming for the day included a special concert in which musicians with disabilities performed. The audience, too, included people with disabiltieis and representatives of NGOs, engaged in advocacy for the disabled.

The event was attended by the RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan and the Chairman of the RA National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan, who were afterwards given a tour of the CCA by the Acting Executive Director of the Center Vahagn Marabyan. The event was also attended by the field professionals, thus becoming a starting point for further museum community networking.
