The Cafesjian Center for the Arts Announces the Launch of Illuminating the Abstract New Educational Program

June 28, 2024
The Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) announces the launch of a new educational program, Illuminating the Abstract.

The program is based on the exhibition THE GATE on display at CCA from June 14 until October 6, presented by London-based artist Georgii Uvs.

The goal of Illuminating the Abstract program is to introduce the world of abstract art to participants through ultraviolet light, fostering the understanding of interplay of light and art. Participants will explore their own artistic abilities, inspired by the depth of Georgii Uvs' THE GATE series.

Within the scope of the educational program, participants will get acquainted with Georgii Uvs: THE GATE exhibition in Eagle Gallery. During the tour, they will be presented with the main techniques and unique features of Georgii Uvs’ art. In the creative part of the program, participants will create abstract works using special fluorescent paint. In conclusion, they will have the opportunity to view their creations in Eagle Gallery, under ultraviolet light.

The program is designed for participants of ages 7+ and families.
